Pixie Pout Review

Hey all.

Hope ye are well. If ye don't already know by the title joanne larby aka the make up fairy has released 3 liquid lip collections with 3 liquid lipsticks and a 3D lipgloss in each collection. There is the bold, the bright and the bare collection they are €34.99 each which I think is pretty good for 3 liquid lipsticks and a gloss. I opted for the bare collection because unicorn tears was screaming at me and I hadn't even known the name of it at that stage so it was definitely a sign (given my obsession with unicorns) so along with the unicorn tears there is muted melon, laid bare and the 3D wonder lip gloss. I'm in love with all 3 colours and I love the way there is a gloss to give you the option  to change it from a matte. They smell AMAZING. I think they smell like sweets and who doesn't want their lips smelling like that? I do anyway haha. The applicatior is like a tear drop shape so it fits perfect on the lips which is great if your new to liquid lipsticks it's fool proof application at its best and the staying power is honestly the best I have used in a liquid lipstick so far. It doesn't budge and it doesn't crack or crumble or dry it's very velvety going on and does dry matte but not too dry. I hope I'm making sense lol. Anyway go get 1 of the collections or all 3 if you can afford them I'm definitely going to pick up the other 2. Iconic Bronze Review

Hey guys

Hope ye are well. I was away in Newcastle for the weekend and oh my god it's a mental spot. I came home with the flu then of course so I'm feeling very sorry for myself haha. I tried the iconic bronze tan in dark with their double sided velvet mit I picked them up in penneys in limerick €6 for the mitt and €10 for the tan. I did find the dark a tad too dark for me so I'll buy the medium next time. Also the mitt is the nicest most luxurious mitt I have ever used. I'm just going to give 2 lists of pros and cons and show ye pics of before/after.

Verdict...

Loved the colour even though as I said it was a tad dark so I think I'll definitely like the medium one. Also when I said it was hard to take off i never exfoliated it off I just used a face cloth so I'm sure it would come off if i exfoliated alot of it came off with just the face cloth and a really good scrub. I will definitely be using it again but I'll throw on a onsie after so it doesn't transfer to my sheets lol.

Mini Break

Hey all

Hope ye are all well. Myself my fiance and our 2 daughters went away for 2 nights during the week to wexford. I googled family hotels in Ireland and the hotel we booked was first on the list on Google and I can see why. It was amazing from the minute we stepped in the front door to the minute we left we had a great time the kids especially and that's what we wanted because we hadn't gone away with them since last year so we wanted them to enjoy it. Our daughters are 2 and 8 and the 8 year old had the best time the hotel provide a supervised kids club for 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening free of charge but for kids above 4 only so our 2 year old couldn't go. The 1st night was movie night the next morning was go carting and cake decorating and the 2nd night was bingo and a disco she really enjoyed it and knowing she was being well supervised was great. Our 2 year old was asking for her but there is a play area for the younger kids you just have to stay with them which is understandable. So between that and her watching Minnie mouse on YouTube she was entertained. On our 2nd day there my fiance took the girls swimming while I headed off to the spa and they had a great time swimming they said the facilities were great. The spa was AMAZING I went for a hot stone back message for 25 mins and then I went for a dry float treatment for 30 mins and I literally floated out of there (maybe not literally) but it was honestly amazing ruth my massage therapist was brilliant. We ate both nights in the hotel the food was fab and the staff were lovely the food was normally priced nothing over pricey or anything but omg l nearly dropped dead at the bar when I was charged €6.50 for a West coast cooler the most I have ever paid for 1 is €5 or €5.50 max but very rarely I normally pay €4.80 but it's a 4 * hotel and I guess they are 4* star prices this would be the hotels only down fall I honestly couldn't fault them in any other way the rooms were fab too really spacious and had everything in them. On the hotel grounds out the back there was go carting, crazy golf, a soccer pitch, a play ground, a fountain, seating areas, animals and a shop so again plenty for the kids to do without leaving the grounds and to top it off they have there own little train called the amber express that brings you down the very back of the hotel grounds to feed the ducks, goats, horses and a racoon. There were little huts down there 2 and at Christmas, Halloween and Easter they do them up and loads of people come to see it. It would be magical at Christmas and we are really considering going back the kids really enjoyed that and the man driving the train was so much fun and really interacted with the kids. It's a long enough drive and that would probably be the only thing bad about the whole thing just trying to entertain the girls on the way up and down but they had portable dvd players and we stopped on the way up and the way down for food and stuff to break up the journey so it wasn't too bad but just a heads up for anyone travelling from Kerry.

Hope ye are all well.. although I'm a week late I'm going to list my May Loves and Lusts.

LOVES

1 Note cosmetics mattifying extreme foundation is UNREAL I have a very oily t zone, cheeks and chin so my foundation comes off in those places but not with this I have a blog post about it titled "Dupe alert" if you want to know more about it and where I get it but I will leave a link Here

2 Mac oil control lotion is amazing for my oily skin too and paired with the note foundation my make up is bullet proof. I got the travel size for €10 just to see if i liked it and I'll definitely be re purchasing it. I got it at the Mac counter in Brown Thomas Cork I'll leave a link Here

3 I am loving being a brunette again. My hair was in bits from all the bleach I was putting on my poor head. It's still very dry but already so much healthier looking and it definitely feels healthier already.

LUSTS

1 I am DYING to get my hands on the new urban decay naked heat pallette it looks AMAZING.. It's got really warm tones that I think would compliment my blue eyes really well.

2 I would love to go to the Jeanette Cronin make up salon for a 1 to 1 lesson with her she is amazing and has magic hands or something. I think all her make up looks are amazing and I would love to see first hand how she does it. If you don't know who she is please look her up on Instagram and thank me later.. she will definitely get your creative juices flowing.

3 I can't wait to get my hands on the new sleek matte me metallic lipsticks. The matte me lipsticks are my favourite matte lipsticks on the market at the moment. I also can't wait to try the new highlight pallette distorted dreams,  my all time favourite highlight pallette is their solstice one so I know I will love that too.

BODY SHAMING

Hey guys and gals

Hope ye are having a good week. This week beauty/lifestyle blogger Rosie Connelly has come under attack from a body shamer telling her she was disgusting and too thin and she shouldn't be promoting size 4 jeans I forget what else was said to her now but how does this person feel they have the right to tell Rosie what to do or has the right to even comment on her body.. she is naturally thin and she is healthy and happy isn't that all that matters? I'm a size 12- 14 at the moment and nobody has ever commented on my weight except for myself I was a size 8 all my life until I was about 22 then I started putting on weight and I hated my body for ages but iv learned to love all my curves stretch marks scars and imperfections.. they make me who I am today.. scars from operations and stretch marks from 2 kids 8 lbs 4 1/2 ounces and 9 lbs 9 ounces my beautiful body has been through hell and back and it's still working it's mine and it never gives up on me which is pretty amazing. Size 4 or size 24 who cares embrace it.. if your unhappy with your body then do something about it but only do it for you and nobody else especially not someone who's sitting behind a computer putting you down.. that says more about that person's life and unhappiness than it does about you. That's just my two cents on body shaming you do you and screw anyone else.. we are all beautiful.. have a great week everyone.

DUPE ALERT

Hey guys and gals

Hope ye are enjoying the fine weather in Ireland at the moment.. I am so excited to tell ye about this dupe because 1 of them is  €13.95 and the other is €33 so you will be saving yourself a few euros... and I don't know about ye but I'm all about a bargain. Soooooo without further ado.....

The note cosmetics extreme mattifying foundation and the inglot HD foundation are the exact same (in my opinion) they are both REALLY high coverage and matte which is what I look for in a Foundation because I'm oily and have large pores. The note 1 I wear is the shade 4 and has spf 15 I got it in kennellys pharmacy killarney but you can get it Here for €13.95 and the inglot 1 I wear is 76 and you can get it Here for  €33 I love both but they work the exact same on my skin so I will be buying the note 1 from now on. I love and use loads of inglot products so I will still continue to shop there but I'm so happy I found a dupe for 1 of my a favourite foundations... I hope ye enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed testing the products and writing this post..
