Happy New year... i am well aware we are half way through January already but this is my first post of 2018. I took a bit of a break but im back.. and my very first post has to obviously be about our wedding. Im going to tell ye all about the day and share where we got everything incase ye have a wedding coming up. So firstly we had the most amazing day and i would love to do it all again.
When we set the date we were so excited!!! Myself my mom and mother in - law went to a wedding fair in the The Brehon and we went through the packages they had to offer and we were shown around the hotel we fell in love with the place. It was the only place i had looked so i rang my husband to come out and have a look. He basically said once your happy with it i am so that was that we booked it there and then and i threw myself into the organising it i enjoyed it for the most part, bar 1 or 2 hiccups but i think they happen everyone. The first thing i found and wanted were my shoes... i know what ye are thinking shoes before the dress... but i really wanted them. I originally wanted a different pair these one's but when i went to brown thomas in dublin they weren't there i cant find a link for the pair i got but ill leave a pic below. Next up was the dress. I went to 1 dress shop and it was the 3rd one i tried on and i knew instantly it was the one. I went in with an open mind and i tried on 5 different styles all together but went back to dress number 3. I got it in Unique boutique bridal castleisland dee is so nice to deal with and great craic, ill leave a pic below and i also picked up my veil there. We had 6 bridesmaids, 6 groomsmen and 2 flower girls that needed to be dressed so i thought up of colours and had a look through pinterest (your best friend while planning a wedding) then i ran them by my husband and we decided on wine dresses and navy blue suits and i must say the colours worked so well together. I picked up 5 of the dresses in Kates Kloset in limerick and kate was fabulous to deal with. She has a huge range of dresses so id highly recommend her shop. I got my daughters dress on wish would ye believe because she was 1 of the bridesmaids but is only 9 so i thought the dresses i picked out for the other 5 girls were too grown up for her. I got the flower girl dresses in Debenhams they are now on sale. We then picked up the suits in Suits Select tralee we got 3 piece suits shirts belts ties/ dickey bows and shoes in there for all the boys at €199 a man which was handy to do it all in the same place. We were thinking of renting but you would be minding them all night then so we bought them as a present to the lads. The girls got their own shoes and i got their jewellery in The Killkenny Shop my own jewellery was from keanes and their pjs for the night before in Heatons Stores and checked us all into the hotel the night before as a little treat with my mom and my 2 kids. I got myself my mom and the kids robes from Robes4you i will leave pictures of everything below and i will do another blog post in a few days about our invites, band, cake , flowers and everything else.
