Upcycling

Hey Guys how are ye??

I Hope ye enjoyed my last two blog posts. I really enjoyed writing them.

Onto the next one though and as ye can tell by the title its about upcycling. The zip yard Tralee contacted me about a collaboration and I jumped at the chance. They basically take your pre loved pieces and change them up to make them into a different piece and I have loads of stuff in my wardrobe I wont wear again but don't want to throw out and I'm sure its the same as most women so I was delighted to bring in a few pieces to chop and change. When I went over to the zip yard Stacey and all the team were so nice and more than helpful, They were telling me they also run a dry cleaning service so if anyone from the Tralee area is reading this pop in to the girls and they will take care of ye. So I brought in a few pieces that I love but was sick of and we decided on this sequin vintage jacket I picked up in mon amie Killarney a few years ago. Its since closed down but they had amazing pieces and a fabulous vintage section. I loved it before but OH MY GOD  I'm in obsessed with it now.

So we decided on taking off the sleeves and adding faux leather capped sleeves instead and I'm so happy with how it turned out it has transformed it so much. I can't wait to wear it now again. Let me know in the comments section below what ye think.

I don't have a price list but something like this would cost roughly €40 and I have a different jacket. OBBSESSED with it now and I look forward to working with the zip yard again in the future.

That's all on this post guys but I have also been nominated for an award for the connect Kerry hair and beauty awards I would love if ye could kindly vote for me please it only takes two minutes and I would really appreciate it ill leave the link Here

That's all for now

Our Wedding Part 2

Hey everyone I hope ye enjoyed my previous wedding post. I am going to go through a few more details on this post about our entertainment, cake, band and so much more so lets jump straight in.

Firstly our band were the 2 Mikes and family ties and I must say I hadn't heard of them before but Tim had and suggested them. We went to Causeway to see them 1 night because I wanted to know what they were like and I wasn't disappointed they had the whole room on their feet which is what you want for your wedding day. We went to a wedding fair the next day in the INEC Killarney and booked them straight away. The night of the wedding the floor was full from start to finish. There were 4 of them playing and they are gentlemen I couldn't recommend them enough.here is a link to their page

Next up is our cake. Oh my god I loved it and we really enjoyed the cake tasting that was the fun part haha. We went with chocolate fudge, raspberry and coconut, strawberry sponge and fruit cake in that order from bottom tier up I ordered it off Mandy Trant I order every occasion cake off her and have been going to her for years she is unbelievable at what she does no job is too big or too small for her.

                                                        here is her facebook page

I ordered a post box for the cards so people had somewhere to put them and  I knew they would be safe there also. While I was ordering it something else caught my eye and I had to have it

This is the post box and I thought it was a great idea. They are handmade so a lot of work goes into them and everyone thought it was a nice touch

Then this is the other item I was talking about. When I seen it I had to have it because we both have family members who have passed and we would have loved them to be there on the day so I thought this was  a great idea and again everyone loved it. I also ordered a Christmas eve box off them for my 2 girls and they loved it all 3 pieces were amazing quality.

Next up are our beautiful flowers I went around to a few flower shops in Killarney and priced around. I went with white heather florists and Rima the lady that was dealing with me was so nice and helpful and she did an amazing job on our flowers. We got our bouquets for myself and the bridesmaids, the button holes for my husband and his groomsmen a throw away bouquet, our centre piece for the alter and 2 bouquets of flowers for our mothers they were all amazing. I got the church decorated by a different woman then she decorates it with hanging lanterns fake flowers an arch and a red carpet it was beautiful.  Rima white heather

This is just 1 picture of my amazing bouquet up close but they are in a few of the previous pictures and the bridesmaids ones too.

This was our amazing centre piece and I ordered the candles online from here they were amazing and the company were so helpful with other aspects of our wedding.

I then ordered these 2 pieces, a ring box & a sign for the miniature groomsman to hold as he walked up the aisle. I ordered them here I have ordered pieces from Sarah previously and they are always amazing.

My maid of honour ordered these glasses for the morning of the wedding here and they were a lovely touch I thought. I have also ordered from Amy before and she is amazing at her job.

so that sums up our wedding. Any questions don't hesitate to ask.

That's all for now.

Our Wedding

Hey guys.

Happy New year... i am well aware we are half way through January already but this is my first post of 2018. I took a bit of a break but im back.. and my very first post has to obviously be about our wedding. Im going to tell ye all about the day and share where we got everything incase ye have a wedding coming up. So firstly we had the most amazing day and i would love to do it all again.

When we set the date we were so excited!!! Myself my mom and mother in - law went to a wedding fair in  the The Brehon  and we went through the packages they had to offer and we were shown around the hotel we fell in love with the place. It was the only place i had looked so i rang my husband to come out and have a look. He basically said once your happy with it i am so that was that we booked it there and then and i threw myself into the organising it i enjoyed it for the most part, bar 1 or 2 hiccups but i think they happen everyone. The first thing i found and wanted were my shoes... i know what ye are thinking shoes before the dress... but i really wanted them. I originally wanted a different pair these one's but when i went to brown thomas in dublin they weren't there i cant find a link for the pair i got but ill leave a pic below. Next up was the dress. I went to 1 dress shop and it was the 3rd one i tried on and i knew instantly it was the one. I went in with an open mind and i tried on 5 different styles all together but went back to dress number 3. I got it in Unique boutique bridal castleisland dee is so nice to deal with and great craic, ill leave a pic below and i also picked up my veil there. We had 6 bridesmaids,  6 groomsmen and 2 flower girls that needed to be dressed so i thought up of colours and had a look through pinterest (your best friend while planning a wedding) then i ran them by my husband and we decided on wine dresses and navy blue suits and i must say the colours worked so well together. I picked up 5 of the dresses in Kates Kloset in limerick and kate was fabulous to deal with. She has a huge range of dresses so id highly recommend her shop. I got my daughters dress on wish would ye believe because she was 1 of the bridesmaids but is only 9 so i thought the dresses i picked out for the other 5 girls were too grown up for her. I got the flower girl dresses in Debenhams  they are now on sale. We then picked up the suits in Suits Select tralee we got 3 piece suits shirts belts ties/ dickey bows and shoes in there for all the boys at €199 a man which was handy to do it all in the same place. We were thinking of renting but you would be minding them all night then so we bought them as a present to the lads. The girls got their own shoes and i got their jewellery in The Killkenny Shop  my own jewellery was from keanes and their pjs for the night before in Heatons Stores and checked us all into the hotel the night before as a little treat with my mom and my 2 kids. I got myself my mom and the kids robes from Robes4you i will leave pictures of everything below and i will do another blog post in a few days about our invites, band, cake , flowers and everything else.

The brehon hotel and our cars were from Horans wedding cars

I fell in love with these. I love the cut and the inside is blue.

Tan was from sosubysj its not out yet but she very kindly sent me some to try for our big day. I loved it

They scrub up well 😂

My mom bought my jewellery for me

Hair by Tara Boughen
Make up by Michelle O Connor & Shannon Quirke
Fur stoles were tk maxx for the adults and dunnes for the kids
My mom's outfit was from The moderne

I got the pjs printed by Dave in  Smartcustomwear and the robes came printed.

My something old was my engagement ring
My something new was the jewellery
My something borrowed was my bag
My something blue was the shoes

That's all for now

Miss Fits Skinny Tea

Hey everyone.

Hope ye are all well.. sorry its been so long since i did a blog post but i have been up the walls planning our wedding its less than 5 weeks away... I CANT BELIEVE IT. This year has just flown by. The reason for this post however is #missfitskinnytea i was very kindly sent a 2 week supply of the tea and a 2 month supply of the D its their vitamin d supplement (we defo need this in ireland) and i was sent a 2 month supply of crave it neutralizes blood sugars so you dont crave sugar basically. So the tea is AMAZING it really helped me with bloating and now that im out of it i can notice the bloating coming back so im going buying it tomorrow because i need it back in my life. My favourite thing about it is its non laxative so your not running to the toilet after it. The D has definitely changed my mood and energy levels and i have dropped the dose of my anxiety medication to the mildest dose for the first time in years. As for the crave i cant say i notice much difference unfortunately because i just love and will continue to love chocolate. I will keep taking it though until its gone. Im on week 4 i should be on 5 but i missed a day here and there. So far so good for the D and the tea though. I can see myself using these forever more. I will leave a link to all 3 products and i would highly recommend the tea and the D i have noticed some positive changes from using them.

Do What You Love

Hey all

Hope ye are all well. I was saying on my Snapchat (lorzyloops2) and my Instagram (Lorz's Loves and Lusts) that I was thinking of giving up blogging because you only get noticed by brands if you have a HUGE following or money or if you buy followers which I certainly would never do. I just felt how would little old me from a housing estate in Co Kerry get noticed because this Instagram filtered world made me think like that and then the more I thought of it i thought back to why I started blogging and it wasn't to get noticed or anything it was a place to go to occupy my mind when I was suffering from PTSD after having charley and then the good response I got made me want to do it more. Now I buy and review most of my products I love doing that and I get some free products from the local pharmacy to test out which is amazing too. I got my first "blogger mail" from bperfect cosmetics recently and I was over the moon.. long may all that continue. Im not even doing it 2 years yet and when I look back it (and ye) definitely helped me get through the bad days and now that I'm back to myself I lost sight of all that. When I said i was going to stop doing it I got alot of messages saying not to because ye loved listening to me on Snapchat and loved reading my blog posts so I'm not going anywhere. I was just having a bad patch so onwards and upwards. Thanks to all of ye who do read my blog posts like my Instagram pics and follow me on Snapchat I love ye all and definitely wouldn't be doing this without each of ye.

Here's to the future of Lorz's Loves and Lusts!

Bperfect 10 Second Tan

Hey guys

Hope ye are well and had a great weekend.
I had an eventful weekend. I ended up going out Friday night, chilled out all day and night Saturday and went to the so sue me workshop in the Brehon today. I will have a full blog post about it during the week. Today's post is going to be all about the bperfect 10 second tan (hence the title) I was very kindly sent a bottle of the medium coconut tan from the guys at bperfect and it was my first time receiving a product from a brand which is pretty amazing. I didn't start blogging for free products nor do I think I should be given free products because I blog but it is nice to think someone would like my opinion and all my hard work since starting the blog is finally paying off. So onto the tan. Firstly the smell of this tan is AMAZING but I love coconuts eating them smelling them drinking the coconut water or milk I'm obsessed. The colour of it is definitely my kind of colour. I'm not into tans that are very dark and obviously fake so the medium is perfect for me. I was sent a mitt to apply the tan with and it is a standard mitt they are all the same unless they are fluffy then obviously they feel more luxurious but I used that to apply the tan anyway and honestly it dries instantly but it's still easy to blend I don't know how they managed it, it's the quickest drying tan I have ever used. It's a liquid formula that you spray out so I sprayed it onto the mitt first and applied it to my skin then. It comes out brown so you can see it going on which i love in a tan because it helps prevent streaks it fades beautifully and not 1 bit patchy. It's the first tan I have used that doesn't go mucky around my feet so that's a bonus for me. I applied it once and had a shower everyday and applied it again after 5 days and I put on 2 layers to see if it would be darker and it was but not too dark. It doesn't transfer onto my clothes or bedsheets either which is great so all in all its a great tan and I will definatly be using it again and again. Thanks again to the bperfect team for sending it to me I'm so grateful ...

Before/after

Today wearing it for the second time

This is what it looks like it retails at roughly €25 and I'll leave a link Here to their website.

Current Loves and Lusts

Hey guys and gals..

Hope ye are all having a good weekend. I'm still posting from my phone. Cracking up without a laptop but you gotta do what you gotta do!!

So as ye can tell from the title I'm going to do my usual lists of loves and lusts.. so let's jump right into it..

Loves:

1. I couldn't pick between 2 pallettes and even though they are quite similar I do reach for each 1 as much as the other because they are both AMAZING and they are the urban decay heat pallette and the so sue hot fire pallette. They both have 12 shades some matte and some shimmer. You really don't need both but I'm a make up fanatic so I had to have both. In my opinion they are of the same quality for sure the urban decay one is €47.50 which includes a double ended brush and mirror and the so sue one is €29.95 which includes a huge mirror. So both really worth the money but again you don't need both they are so alike. I will link them both here Naked heat Hot fire

2. I brought the new look setting spray on holidays with me to really put it to the test in the heat and it did not disappoint.. My make up didn't budge! I highly recommend getting it. It's only €6.99 too it's so affordable. Link Here

3. I picked up this real techniques silicone liner brush in Sam mcaulys it was reduced to €5 and I don't know what i have been doing without it in my life... it's amazing I really feel like I have control on my liner which I have never felt before and it takes me 2 minutes to do my liner with it. I honestly can't see myself using any other brush again it's THAT good. Link Here

4. The monsieur big mascara from lancome is LIFE I mean I have NEVER used a mascara like it. My lashes look huge when I use it. The wand is big so be careful using it on your lower lashes or just use a different mascara with a smaller wand but for your top lashes you need it. I was lucky enough to recieve it at a pr meeting but I will leave a link Here

Lusts:

Im not actually lusting after much lately i think I finally have enough (said no women ever)

1. Luna by Lisa gloss set.... omg it looks amazing. I have pre ordered them so I'll let ye know the second they arrive there is 4 beautiful colours I'll leave a link Here they are sold out at the moment but they will be in stock again and going into pharmacies nationwide soon. I'm so excited for Lisa I have been following her blog and Snapchat almost since the start she's so much fun and she's so passionate about her brand I honestly can't wait to see what's to come. She is also 1 of the people that influenced me to start blogging myself.

I honestly am not in want of anything else at the moment so my lust list is a bit of a short one sorry... I hope ye enjoyed reading this.

As always thanks for reading
